Recently, the city of Tempe approved Date Palm Manor as a new neighborhood historic district. It consists of about 40 homes near Broadway Road and Mill Avenue built during the 1950s. It is Tempe’s fourth historic district. The other districts include:
- Borden Homes (1947-1957, northwest of Apache Boulevard and McClintock Drive (click here for an overview)
- Tomlinson Estates (1950-1953), northwest of Apache Boulevard and McClintock Drive (click here for an overview)
- Roosevelt Addition (1946-1950), Third Street west of Roosevelt (click here for an overview)
