Canadians and Bank Owned Homes

by Rod Rebello on January 14, 2009

canadian-flagI recently started an internet marketing effort to find buyers interested in Phoenix area bank owned homes (I know, isn’t everyone?).   My advertising covers the United States and Canada.

I was surprised to find that the vast majority of responses to my bank owned advertising comes from Canadians.  Not sure why Canadians seem to be more disposed towards bank owned homes than Americans (or at least responding to related advertising).  Perhaps Canada’s further distance from Phoenix leads them to think they will find better values here?  I’d appreciate any insight into this phenomenon.
