The supplier of my real estate website home search feature, Diverse Solutions, has just released significant improvements that should make your home search easier.
- New search panel. You no longer have to select the “Advanced” search button to access additional search parameters. All parameters are now visible on the main screen. Just click on the type of parameter you want, then fill in or check off the specific items. In addition, you can use either the slider bars, or type in the values you want without having to switch back and forth.
- Search within school or school district boundaries. Just start typing in the school name in the school text box, and you will get a list of possible choices to select from.
- Search for Bank owned or Pre-foreclosure properties. Looking for only bank owned or short sales? Now you can select that only those types of properties be shown to you. Expand the “Foreclosures” box, then select either or both “Bank / Lender Owned” or “Pre-foreclosure Process”.
- Search and Sort by price drop percentage. Search by the percentage price drop in last number of specified days. Sort by the price drop percentage of the listings that match any search. You’ll be able to find this in the “Sort” box near the top of the results panel.
- Search by days listed. Enter the minimum and maximum days on the market the listings have been available.
- Personal notes. If you register, you can now add personal notes to specific properties that you save.
- Faster loading time. Overall performance has been improved to give you a more responsive search experience.
Please take a look and let me know what you think. I’d be happy to pass on suggestions to the vendor for future improvements.
Registration is still not required, although I think it’s worth doing for the additional features you get – saving your favorites, making notes, email updates, RSS feeds, and so on. All I ask is that you contact me to follow up on any listings that interest you.
